ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the nursing care personalization process in hospitalization units. METHODS: An action research was performed at hospitalization units selected by a convenience sample which guaranteed to carry it out. This process took five phases: approach and awareness, induction, interaction, implementation, and systematization. RESULTS: 18 units started the personalization process but 2 did not finish it. A synthesis of the most relevant results from each phase is presented, including the arguments to make professionals participate in this action research, qualities needed to provide a humanized care, difficulties and facilities, targets, strategies and evaluation of this nursing care personalization process. CONCLUSION: Action research let professionals improved the personalization of the nursing care they provide at their hospitalization units, from strategies adapted to their particular contexts so as to advance to the targets they expected.

ABSTRACT

Objetivo: evaluar el proceso de personalización de cuidados en unidades hospitalarias. Material y método: se llevó a cabo una investigación acción participativa en unidades de hospitalización seleccionadas mediante muestreo por conveniencia conforme a unos criterios que garantizaban llevarla a cabo. El proceso constó de cinco etapas: acercamiento y sensibilización, inducción, interacción, implementación, y sistematización. Resultados: 18 unidades iniciaron el proceso de personalización aunque dos no terminaron. Se presenta una síntesis de los resultados más destacados en cada etapa, tales como los argumentos usados en la sensibilización de los profesionales para su participación, las cualidades para proporcionar un cuidado humanizado, así como las dificultades y facilitadores, los objetivos, y las estrategias para personalizar el cuidado, además de su evaluación. Conclusiones: la investigación acción participativa ha permitido a los profesionales mejorar la personalización de los cuidados en sus unidades hospitalarias, partiendo de estrategias adaptadas a sus contextos particulares para acercarse a los objetivos que se marcaron(AU)

ABSTRACT

Fundamento: El quid INNOVA es un programa de formación para la promoción del conocimiento y la innovación en cuidados entre las enfermeras andaluzas. El propósito de este estudio es conocer y analizar la producción científica emergente del programa quid-INNOVA en su primer periodo de ejecución, que abarcó los años 2005 y 2006. Metodología: Estudio de carácter evaluativo, exploró indicadores de tipo académico (cobertura, cumplimiento y nivel de adecuación) e indicadores de impacto científico (productividad potencial, productividad directa, productividad general y productividad de acción investigadora). Se llevó a cabo un análisis estadístico descriptivo para cada variable. Resultados: Los resultados más llamativos constatan que se han obtenido 6 publicaciones directas de cada 10 alumnos que han participado en alguna actividad formativa de carácter científico, o que más del 70% de los proyectos de investigación generados en el programa y presentados en la convocatoria de investigación de la Consejería de Salud de la Junta de Andalucía han conseguido financiación. Conclusiones: El programa quid-INNOVA ha repercutido significativamente en la producción científica, lo que lo convierte en un claro ejemplo de transferencia de la formación a la práctica, puesto que se ha logrado incrementar el conocimiento científico en términos de artículos publicados y de proyectos de investigación financiados. Base: The quid-INNOVA is a program of training for the promotion of knowledge and innovation between the nurses of Andalucía. The purpose of this study is to know and analyze the emerging scientific production of quid-INNOVA in its first period of implementation that covered the years 2005 and 2006. Methodology: It studied character assessment that took a unit of analysis from each of the integrated courses of the quid-INNOVA. The variables studied corresponded to indicators of academic type (cover, performance and level of adaptation) and indicators of scientific impact (potential productivity, direct productivity, general productivity and research action productivity). Results: The eyecatching results show that there have been 6 direct publications from each of the 10 students who have participated in some formation activity of scientific character or that more than 70% of the research projects generated in the program and presented in the investigation assembly of the Department of Health of the Government of Andalucía have obtained financing. The quid-INNOVA program has significantly helped in the scientific production and has made a clear example of the transition from training to practice, given that it has increased the scientific knowledge in terms of published articles and financed research projects. ABSTRACT

La reciente aprobación en España del Proyecto de Ley de Promoción de la Autonomía Personal y de Atención a las Personas Dependientes plantea la necesidad de un sistema de valoración para personas en situación de dependencia. La valoración se fundamenta en una clara descripción de su marco conceptual, donde deben explicitarse los componentes implicados, así como la clasificación y utilidad a la que se destina. A efectos prácticos, la valoración de la discapacidad o dependencia debe centrarse en el estudio de aquellas actividades en las que una persona necesita de otra para su realización, sin perder de vista las deficiencias corporales y el contexto. Tomando como referencia la Clasificación Internacional del Funcionamiento, la Discapacidad y la Salud (CIF) que establece tres formatos de valoración (cribaje y detección de casos, uso diario por profesionales de la salud y estudios de investigación) se apuesta por el uso del formato de cribaje por profesionales de salud cercanos, numerosos y con conocimiento de la comunidad, como las enfermeras, lo que permitirá priorizar y garantizar el acceso a toda la población, La derivación al órgano de valoración multiprofesional competente, permitirá la utilización del formato de uso diario para una valoración que incluya los tres componentes


The recent approval of the Promotion of the Personal Autonomy and Attention to the Dependent People Project of Law raises the necessity of an assessment system for people in dependency situation. The assessment is based on a clear description of its conceptual frame, where the involved components must be specified, as well as the classification and utilities to which it is bound. Pragmatically, the assessment of the discapacity or dependency must be centered in the study of those activities in which a person needs another one for its accomplishment, without undermining the corporal deficiencies and the context. According to the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (CIF) that establishes three formats of assessment (screening and case detection, daily use by health professionals, and research studies), the authors stand for the use of the screening and case detection format by health professionals who are numerous and close to the community such as nurses. Nurses will allow to give priority and to guarantee the access to all the population. The reference to the competent multiprofessional assessment organ will allow the use of the daily use format for an assessment, including the three components
